I had previously had no issues installing to the same machine using Windows 7 & it continued to work after it was upgraded in-place to Windows 10. I was suffering the Install fails with ",publicKeyToken" issue on a clean Windows 10 install. Here's how the Windows all-in-one Repair fixed my Acronis install. Posting here to to make the solution more easily Googlable.įrom one very satisfied customer & brand new Pro version purchaser, in recognition of the pain it saved Provide the location for vcredist.msi for prompt in Step7.I've posted the following message on the Acronis forums.After running the above steps, we get the vcredist.msi extracted.We need to extracted the exe using the following commands at command prompt:.Downloaded the VC++ 2005 redistributable from:.The repair process will look for vcredist.msi in the temp folder and most probably it will not find it there and prompt to provide location for the same file.Right click the msi and click Repair the VC++ 2005 redistributable.In the comments column, look for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redistributable RTL.Check the checkbox for Comments column.Right click the header and click add columns.Go to Start, Run and type in INSTALLER ad press Enter (this should pull up the installer folder).If this is the case you'll have to repair the installationįollow the steps in this blog over at MSDN: This can also apparantly occur if the file becomes corrupted. ![]() I assume something in the Windows Update conflicted with the SQL Server install. After the reboot you should be able to continue your install. This is the easy fix, reboot and let Windows Update finish updating. The first (and easiest to fix) is if you have a pending Windows Update reboot (one that auto-installed but hasn't rebooted yet). One has an easy fix, one has more detailed fix. This error can occur for multiple reasons. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies. The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.
